How We Work...
- We are ACT!
Certified Consultants and ACT! Premier Trainers. When we’re not
teaching, we’re doing – installing ACT!, fixing ACT!, consulting
on ACT! So we bring our 14 years of experience into every
training session that we hold. At the large training companies,
their instructors don’t use ACT!, and ‘teach to the manual’,
they’re not able to answer your real-world questions, or to show
how to solve real-world problems with ACT! Yesterday they
taught Excel, tomorrow they’ll teach Word – hardly experts in
ACT!
- We charge by
the hour, not by the student. Our hourly rate is $200.00 per
hour for training. Major national training companies charge
$195.00 to $295.001 per student for ACT!
training. So for the same price that the big nationals charge
to train 2-3 people, we can train 10!
- If you meet
our 3-hour minimum, we do NOT charge travel. For any session
less than 3 hours, we would need to charge travel at $100.00 per
hour, round-trip, as determined by MapQuest.
- We can teach
ALL versions of ACT!, including the newest – ACT! 2005 (aka
version 7) and ACT! 2006 (aka version 8), as well as the older
versions: ACT! 2000 (aka version 5) and ACT! 6. Most large
training organizations have not transitioned over to the two new
versions of ACT! Make sure your trainer will be teaching THE
VERSION THAT YOU USE!
- If you don’t
have a suitable training area, most commercial training
companies rent their classrooms to outside companies, typically
$800.00 per day.
- We bring our
projector at no extra charge, and can bring a projection screen
if needed. We also bring our kit bag of electrical extensions
and outlet strips, and we can bring 1-2 network switches and
network / Ethernet cables, all at no charge.
- We have a
‘portable classroom’ of 4 laptop computers, which we can provide
at the daily fee of $50.00 per laptop.
- The Big
Nationals teach to a pre-written agenda – and they teach on the
standard ACT! demo database – we work with you ahead of time to
establish YOUR agenda, and we agree on what the key tasks are
that the participants absolutely NEED to know when we’re done.
And we can teach on a copy of your actual database, so users get
the feel for what they’ll encounter when they return to their
desks and begin putting their newfound knowledge to use.
