Microsoft CRM Online Service Update

Microsoft will be rolling out an update for their Online users that includes the following six features:
  • Access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online through a range of mobile devices  (KC: you will now be able to access your CRM Online via any HTML 4.0 enabled PDA - that includes iPhones),
  • In-page help and how-to guidance to provide an even richer experience for new users,
  • The ability to add additional storage capacity to accommodate even larger customer databases (KC: overage charges will likely apply),
  • The introduction of a Home Page dashboard that gives improved visibility into data through embedded charts
  • A new release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for Outlook with improved performance and usability,
  • Enhanced data import capabilities through an updated import wizard experience (KC: CRM Online includes at least 3 different data import methods, some of which can import complex, table-driven data).
There is no charge for this update - it's included in the monthly subscription fee.  And there's no data conversion required.  And it happens while you're sleeping!

Microsoft CRM Landing Pages

Microsoft recently added 'Landing Pages' to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.  Landing pages can be either:

"How to Contact Us" pages that dynamically update your contact info on your website based on your contact information in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online or

"Please Contact Us" forms - when a visitor to your website fills in the form, it's automatically entered into your Microsoft Dynamics CRM database.  In conjunction with a Workflow, the lead can be acknowledged back to the requestor, assigned to the correct territory and rep, and follow-up activities can be scheduled to ensure the lead won't drop through the cracks.
