ACT! provides basic Contact Management functionality out-of-the-box.  Easy to learn, simple to use, it strikes the right balance between form and function.  But, if you want to extend or expand your use of ACT! you'll usually find that you need to evaluate and buy one or more addons to get it 'just right' for your needs.  Whether you need more sophisticated reporting, or the ability to store more extensive information about your customers, or automated collecting of leads from your web site including assigning and responding to those leads, you'll need to buy an addon.

I've personally used every addon that I list here - I recommend them, I stand behind them, I can advise and consent on their suitability to your specific application, and I provide them, install them and make them work for you.

And, a rule of thumb is that if you need more than 3 major addons for ACT!, then you probably should be looking at a more feature-rich solution, like Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
